expensive makeup is the same stuff as the less expensive brands, don't waste your $$$!

Is that true though? I know I 100% can't google this because sponsored articles will be biased, but I also feel like there's a good chance it depends on the product? Some cheap drugstore stuff is total crap, after all.

it's true. The pricey makeup is nearly always made of the exact same stuff as the less expensive counterparts. They're often made by the exact same companies using different names.

It really does depend on the product. Well, mostly in my experience it is lip products that just aren't as good in the more expensive. But I have super dry lips (which is weird as I have oily skin everywhere else), so I need stuff that keeps them moist. Still moist and yet stays on all day is impossible to find in the cheap brands.

Preach. I am an avid defender of MAC lip gloss/moisturizer even though it's expensive, because all the drugstore products I have ever tried didn't last twenty minutes.

I definitely prefer, say, $7 Revlon eyeliner to the $1 eyeliner, but that's all still within the drugstore brands.

Whether it's even better to buy $30 eyeliner from a department store or other fancy place is another question. I can't imagine it's so much better that it's worth spending $30 - which is more than I can afford anyway - especially since you aren't supposed to keep eye makeup for too long before replacing it.
