Re: Teach me about makeup?
My biggest tip is to cater your makeup to the weather. Don't wear liquid foundation when its hot. I've made that mistake before. I tend to go for browns in eyeshadow because they make my green eyes stand out, with the occasional color shadow for a special occasion. I don't wear mascara most of the time, but I have thick lashes. For lipstick, subtle is better for non-dress up occasions. I usually go with a light brown (occasionally light pink) that is just dark enough to emphasize my eyes. And I like glosses because they make my lips stay moist more easily and are easy to redo throughout the day. I have dry lips, so I stay away from matte lip colors. I have a couple fun red glosses that I pull out for special occasions (or if I need a pick me up).
I guess, just, pick a feature to emphasize? Either eyes or lips. Don't go dramatic on both.
