That's interesting! And really good to know. Do you have any tips as a cosmetologist in regards to applying makeup?

Yes, and I should've said this before, good tools/brushes are most definitely worth the money, as they last for years with proper care. I'm in agreement with another poster that eyebrows can make a look (I'm not a fan of the super overdone brow that's big now though), and I'm a fan of "less is more". I also like to play up one feature at a time: eyes, lips, skin, cheeks. Say dewey skin with a wash of sheer gold eyeshadow, a flick of black mascara, and a touch of color on lips/cheeks. Or a classic ~smokey eye~ look, with minimal color elsewhere. A bold lip looks great with just a touch of eyeliner and mascara, and I'm really digging the unconventional lip colors now (dark greens, black, navy blue metallic). If you like glam looks, add contour and highlighter (again, lots of great tutorials out there). Makeup should be fun, it should be a way for you to express yourself!
