I always felt like Moffat wrote 11 like his self insert fantasy so of course he wouldn't have wanted a woman in the role.

Agreed 100%. He seems to do the same with all the main male protagonists he writes. Sherlock seemed to suffer the same.

Would say Sherlock is pretty much his fantasy version of himself, not sure about 11 but I barely can pinpoint anything 11 was about.

Idk about that. 11 is very much at the Doctor as scary immortal alien God end of the Who scale and I'm not sure Moffat is *that* self satisfied.
