I love how they depict depression in Laura Moon. Usually when depressed female characters are depicted, there's a lot of blue-toned, pretty, delicate crying, soulful and pensive stares, waiting around like a sad little wisp to be cared for. Depression makes you not care about shit and can make you very difficult for people to sympathize with.

Really nicely put. Depression is ridiculously unpretty and difficult; and as you said most media depictions paint it in such a poetic/soulful/near-glamourised way that's nowhere near how it actually feels.

+1. It's not the same way that my depression manifested, but I really appreciate the way they showed Laura's depression made her callous and hollow and unsympathetic. Not what we usually get at all, especially for a young white woman.
