Re: Remakes you want Vs Remakes no-one ever wanted.

Overboard is one of my favorite movies that I didn't actually discover until I was like 18 or 19. I love despite acknowledging that the sex scene is rape. I have almost no interest in the remake in the works with Anna Faris, and I can't imagine her having chemistry with Eugenio Derbez, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

I want more original IP across the board. I know there are movies out there I wouldn't mind remakes of, but I can't think of what they are at the moment. I'm always on the fence about a Clue remake. On the one hand I want it because I love Clue and want more people to love Clue, but I absolutely don't want it because Clue is a classic and I don't have faith that a remake would be nearly as funny.

OH, I loved overboard back in the day. I was way too young to be watching it, tho. I just thought it was silly, but I feel like if I watched it today, being all modern and shit myself, I don't know if I'd still like it.

Probably still laugh, Goldie Hawn is pretty timeless, but I don't know if I could get past the dodgyness.
