A lot of fantasy novels go with the wunderkind pure good cinnamon roll child hero trope, true.

"All children are evil little shits" is equally black and white and unrealistic, only to the other extreme.

I don't mind her existing because the others existed. So she becomes a product of her own character and upbringing, and not because she's a child that must represent the morality of every other child in the world.
