Maybe a kidney.

Yes, whichever ones I could live without. Hell, I'd donate a kidney and my uterus if I could afford it.

I'm pretty sure that if you donate a kidney, there's no cost to you.

From what I can tell, the issues are potential conflicts of interest with the people involved in diagnosing end of life, candidacy, and organ suitability. And given the scarcity condition of only 20% of the demand for major organs being met, a free-for-all bidding market for organs would make transplants even more expensive.

Also think of the potential for serious organ trafficking problems....

Well obviously it would have to be regulated all to hell and back to keep it safe for everyone, but I think how many people out there are dying in poverty and when they die, their organs die with them? and then of course the people who need those organs also die.

It's not really certain that paying for organs would be effective for dealing with the scarcity because many organs can only be donated by people meeting specific conditions.

No. Too much of a risk. I already have a lot of health issues.

Part of me would like to sell my uterus and all the female stuff because they cause me nothing but annoyance and I have no use for them since I'm never having kids.

Realistically, though, no. I see no point to surgery that isn't medically necessary because so many things can go wrong...I don't need money THAT bad.

I'm probably going to need them.

Major surgery always carries a risk, and I don't want to incur any potential health problems now or later down the line, so no.

Not me, too unhealthy, no-one would want one of my livers, but I absolutely think it should be allowed.

No, it should not be something that is legal. Christ, that would have horrible outcomes.

Nayrt but organ trafficking is already a huge problem in some parts of the world, I don't think we need to be encouraging it to come to places that don't currently have that problem

I dunno, I guess I'd sell my uterus since I don't want kids, but that's still a major surgery and I dunno about that.

I wish it would at least be legal for the person to get the medical costs paid for. I can see not making it profitable because down that road lies serious problems, but having to pay to donate your own organs sucks.

That said, I'm pretty attached to my own organs.

I definitely don't think it should be legal but I might do it if it were. I couldn't sell a kidney for medical reasons (I have horseshoe kidney and so technically only one big kidney) but I might sell part of my liver if they decided it was good enough.

It's legal to sell eggs, and I've never do that. Lots of pain involved, and I'm sure surgery would be much, much worse! :x

Not at all. I have a family history of kidney disease so it's important for me to be careful with what I have while I can.
