KAKASAKU - They live in a world where you basically grow up super quick after you graduate the Academy at age 12. ESPECIALLY if you are the unlucky Genin team that gets put a supposed C-Rank mission and it turns out to be either a B-Rank or A-Rank in disguise. (wave arc) By the end of the 4th Ninja War? Sakura may have been 17-18, but her camaraderie and everything with Kakashi that could have been the start of a possible relationship? No problem. They'd been through so much, she was confident in herself, he respected her so much and they were basically equals. 14 year gap would be nothing.

SessKag - Eh, Demons. I just like them because I HATE Inuyahsa. The two timing bastard...that and Sesshoumaru ended up being semi-ok with humans thanks to his surrogate human daughter. Besides, every fic I ended up reading usually has Kagome as older anyway and/or she ends up left in the future for an indeterminate amount of time before the Well allows her to pass through again. (tales from the house of the moon. best fic for that ship progression i have ever read).

Sparrabeth - There IS an age gap there. But Jack has never really treated Elizabeth like any sort of child. He's pushed her, yes, if only to get her to realize WHO and WHAT she is, that her sheltered life is NOT who and what she is. It's why I refuse to see the 5th movie and if EVER acknowledge her kid, it's her's and Jack's.

Snape/Hermione - Smart snarky people. That's pretty much it. *shrug*

Jareth/Sarah - I blame David Bowie. And the fact they just HAD to add that Dance Scene and the most bittersweet love song EVER. Then the confrontation song...also very bittersweet. Goddammit. *sigh* My heart~
