Please tell me what author loves mantis shrimp! This is not information google is really able to help me with.

I don't care what kind of books she writes (but if they look good I will read them), I just also love mantis shrimp and I want to know if they have a high-profile fan. They're a cool animal.

One of my favorite novels had an incestual relationship as backstory, but it was weird and complicated and not, like... I dunno, normal incest-incest? But I know that's not what/who the secret is about because the book was written fifty years ago and it was more a (very openly) hinted at 'this is my tragic past do not ask me about my dead sibling' thing.

Seanan McGuire! At one point she coloured her hair to try and look like one. She generally loves a lot of creatures no one else really cares for. I do love her urban fantasy series.

She also writes under a pseudonym, Mira Grant, and one of those series is where the pseudo-incest comes into play (it's kind of a bit of a spoiler tbh which is why I didn't want to name it - it's super vague in the first book to the point where I'm sure most people didn't even think about it, just thought they were close).
