The series is also not that new at this point (2010-2012) so I don't know if it's the same one.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-03 11:25 am (UTC)(link)I don't care what kind of books she writes (but if they look good I will read them), I just also love mantis shrimp and I want to know if they have a high-profile fan. They're a cool animal.
One of my favorite novels had an incestual relationship as backstory, but it was weird and complicated and not, like... I dunno, normal incest-incest? But I know that's not what/who the secret is about because the book was written fifty years ago and it was more a (very openly) hinted at 'this is my tragic past do not ask me about my dead sibling' thing.

She also writes under a pseudonym, Mira Grant, and one of those series is where the pseudo-incest comes into play (it's kind of a bit of a spoiler tbh which is why I didn't want to name it - it's super vague in the first book to the point where I'm sure most people didn't even think about it, just thought they were close).
