I love Made in Abyss, the anime. But I'm afraid to admit it because of "problematic" stuff in it, which doesn't seem quite as bad so far as I was led to expect. Not sure about the manga, I haven't read it.

This is something I never expected to see :O Made in Abyss is the thing to love this season with everyone singing praises for it. If your regular hangouts are making you feel like you can't like it maybe you should try new waters. I stick to reddit and aniblogs and there's nothing but love there.

I just had someone warn me that it was full of "problematic" stuff so I've been afraid to admit I like it. People I know don't seem to be talking about it at all one way or the other, and I thought maybe that was why. But I'll try Reddit.
