nayrt, but at least for me, it's not that kudos are "worse". It's that kudos are so.. impersonal. I truly do appreciate them, and I'm glad there's a way for people to say "good job!" without having to think of something to actually say, but.. kudos lack a personal touch. And some authors like to interact with their fans. So if I have a choice between a long post filled with insights and squee, or a kudo, I'll take the long post any day.
