Y'know if you're going to argue with that angle, i can pretty much argue back saying that there are no blond ninjas in japan, nor are there any mecha robots that fly into space, or any pink haired girls that have giant-aliens as parents.

As much as i love Oofuri, because i really do, at least i've given both a chance. It seems to me like you don't even know what Rookies is. As yes, half of the players in Rookies aren't really that good, and even the good players have their faults too.

Yeah, but it's supposed to be realistic, right? It's a sports manga. If it were a fantasy manga I wouldn't mind.

Sorry, it's just when you say "epic" I think TEZUKA ZOOOOOONE and then everything just starts going downhill from there. If you say that the players are kind of bad then I'll take your word for it, but it looks a lot like Slam Dunk, and at risk of being mauled by the fans, I really wasn't into that.

I think I am the only person in existence that likes Oofuri, but doesn't like Prince of Tennis. In fact, I think Oofuri is the only sports manga I really care for, but that also may be because baseball is the only sport I follow in real life.

They're different mangas. Who cares? I love Captain Tsubasa but not Hungry Heart and they're by the same damned author and about the same sport. I also like CCS but not all the shojos ever made, and I love Pokemon and Digimon but hate Beyblade and don't like Monster Rancher.

I doubt the OP has read every single baseball manga there is, anyway.

The art for Slam Dunk and Rookies are similar, but that's about it.
Fair enough that it's not your thing, really, it's just you seemed awfully defensive and judgemental about a great manga you haven't even read, so i was annoyed you were judging it on the basis of trying to defend Oofuri.

It's a Prince of Tennis thing. Sort of like dinosaurs exploding.

It's up to me to judge whether it is "great" or not, that depends on the person reading it. And although I really like Oofuri, I wasn't defending it, per se, but trying to explain why this is this and that is that. I know none of this is going to change your mind, but I felt like stating my own opinion.

Also, I enjoy being facetious.

I know why it could be annoying to people, though, if they don't like the cute look or BL subtext. Again, it's about personal opinion.
