Honestly liking New Who doesn't mean you need to like Old Who, they are two very different shows. New Who is still a bit cheesy but the old effects were on a shoestring budget and are laughable, and that can make old sci fi hard to watch.

And outside of effects, the storytelling and pacing is largely different. The old doctors and companions are fantastic but other then that I wouldn't say old who is necessarily an easy watch, especially if you are used to the newer series.
