Re: Not like those other fans

The people who complain about how much screentime a favorite character is or isn't getting. Sure, I'm thrilled when my favorite character gets a good storyline and screentime, too, and yes, many of my favorite episodes would focus on them. But they are not the only character on the show, and the other characters deserve attention, too.

(And even if and when I do have a particular character that's my favorite, since I'm also the sort who tends to like most, if not all, of the other characters on the shows I watch, I'm more than happy to watch storylines about those characters, too.)

OMG, I used to know (well, not "know" personally, but the fandom was small enough) Haven fans who actually DREW UP CHARTS in order to complain about how much screen time their preferred love interest was getting, compared to the other one... per episode.

YES. I've seen that sort of thing in some of my fandoms, too. It just seems such an over the top reaction to that issue.

(I also like the people who complain about how underdeveloped they think a certain character is, or feel the show poorly handled the aftermath of some storyline a character they don't like went through (and that poor handling is one of the reasons they don't like said character), but then those same people turn around and complain when the show does try to give said character screen time so that they CAN properly try and develop them or explore them further. Do you want the show to try and improve and deal the character and their actions or not? You can't have it both ways, guys.)
