Because I'm asexual and have enough on my plate right now with other life things.

And as well, because I'm finally admitting that I'm not the totally straight (if asexual) person that I thought I was.

I've had feelings for people of both genders, but could only admit to one for a really unfortunately long time. :/

And now I'm sort of having to accept that, if I ever have a long-term relationship, I'd want it to be with someone of the same gender as me--and never the opposite.

That's a big pill to swallow for me. I'm in my thirties. You'd think I'd have admitted this to myself sooner...
