Weekend Plans!

I'll be playing more Overwatch. I still need to get the McCree and Reaper skins. Other than that, I'll be furiously car hunting. :( I might try making caramel brownies once I go to the store and get some more sugar.

My dad had back surgery today and has to stay overnight, so I'll probably go visit tomorrow. Other than that, I have no idea. I'm really not in a good place mentally, and I can't see my doctor until Friday. I ended up mostly sleeping today. If I watch something, it will be the Project Runway season premier or stuff on Youtube. But I honestly don't know what I can handle.

That sucks. My dad had back surgery at the beginning of the year. He doesn't know how to take it easy so recovery has been meh.

I hope you get to feeling a bit better until you can get in to see your doctor.

:( That sucks. I wish your dad a speedy recovery, back issues are the absolute worst. I hope everything goes smoothly for you when you see your doctor, until then just take it easy and do whatever you need to do to relax.

Quiet house, everyone else is driving 20 hours to go see the eclipse.

Writing, watching what I want, self-pleasure without concern that I'll be interrupted.

Got nothing planned except watching Defenders, hopefully it's fun.

Good luck getting a car, I don't know what the market for them is like where you live but getting a decently priced one here can be a bit of a hunt.

I've heard it starts slow but is great otherwise.

Yeah, rural Oklahoma is not the best market (unless you LOVE trucks).

Planning the school year of some five different classes, including one hellish combination of two different groups following the same curriculum but with different progress, meaning that one part of the class needs a vocational focus and has 40% fewer hours and ideally a different textbook.

That, and preparing for an interview for a non-teaching position across the country. It's not a burning passion of mine, but right now my most malicious side just wants to see the people in charge try to explain that combination to my potential replacements. Whoever is desperate enough to take on that job, it probably won't be a keeper.

Oh, wow that sucks. I hope you can get either find a balance in that job or get a job that you enjoy more! Any particular reason they combined those two classes other than saving money?

Man, I could go for some caramel brownies now. Yum!

I'll be home, closely monitoring my dog. He threw up a lot yesterday and had diarrhea. He's a little better today, but I'm still worried. I hope it's nothing serious 'cause I just got my car fixed and I don't have any money.

Farmers' Market. Maybe a local cultural festival. Laundry. Cleaning. Catching up on sleep. Thawing some chicken. Pancakes. Making lunch for the first few days of next week. Maybe finally finishing painting my bedroom. Obsessively checking the weather to confirm that it is still likely to be sunny on Monday (we only get about 83% for the eclipse, but I'd still like to see that!), probably watching the rest of a neat movie with Ricardo Montalban called Mystery Street where he is a police detective and works with a Harvard Medical School doctor who is all "We will solve this crime with FORENSICS!" It's fun!

That is a busy weekend! We will be seeing an89% eclipse where I am. I don't got glasses so I'll might make a pinhole box thing.

I have the weekend off. Tomorrow I'm going to cook a little and clean a little and Sunday... I don't know. I'd kind of like to go the movies but I don't really want to spend the money. Such an exciting life I lead.

It's been a busy week and I might have to work tomorrow too but I won't know until tomorrow, so tonight I'm trying to just relax as much as possible.

I'm thinking I want to bake something but I need to figure out what ingredients I already have and what I can make with them so I don't have to make a grocery trip.

And I think I'm getting ready to get off the computer and go either tackle my DVR (it's at 99% full right now) or start a book (I got a bunch of new ones recently).

Working all weekend, but I don't mind as most of my friends and my partner are mid-week socialisers anyway. Plus most of the decent pubs/clubs down here have closed down so I don't feel like I'm missing too much.

Some reading, maybe making some creative stuff out of cardboard for the eclipse (even though I have *fortunately authentic* eclipse shades). Fuck, I'm thinking about randomly watching some Sailor Moon, being in a moon mood.

Maybe I'll remember other stuff I actually ought to be doing, lol.

I am moving forward through Jordan B Peterson's lecture series about the Bible. It's fascinating to listen to, like listening to a church sermon from a non-church source.

Other than that, nothing much besides get something done with my chicken thighs by tomorrow.
