I miss Genso Suikoden. I loved waiting for the games to come out, reading the news, anticipating the new story, etc, devouring the material and producing fanworks. That feeling of sharing your work with folks while also seeing what they came up with, doing exchanges and stuff.

Really, though, just looking at something new and getting excited about it with others, hoping all your expectations are met or exceeded.

I was five years late to Suikoden fandom, I caught it at the very tail end (Tierkris, ugh). I wish I'd been there for 3 and 4 instead of coming in after all the good fanworks were already old and people were ignoring the Fire Bringer and pirates in favor of Falena.

Yeah, it's weird. As much as I love the hell out of V, I felt most productive and engaged under III.
