I was at work, and I fractured a lens in my grandfather's binoculars lunging across the room to answer the phone--luckily he's been dead over 20 years. But I managed to turn the other lens into an eclipse projector and brought it outside with some colanders I swiped from the kitchen. We had just under 60%, and a lot of people showed up (we were hosting a viewing) and a couple people wanted to fight about not getting eclipse glasses, but we only had 30 pair. Pretty much everyone ended up sharing, though, which was nice. And huzzah, I won't have to answer anymore phone calls about eclipse glasses for almost 7 years. I think I'll travel somewhere in the path of totality for the next one, so I can see a total eclipse at least once in my life.
