The whole "it could be way worse" thing really doesn't help. Everyone's lives and circumstances are different and what may seem minor to some can have a huge impact on someone else. I'm sorry to hear you're not well, anon. My brother's had IBS for years and has recently been in hospital and diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Stomach/bowel problems suck so bad because they have such an effect on everything else you do. :( Please hang in there and PM me if you need to vent or anything.
