Past the end of the universe? No thank you.

Past the end of this solar system? Sure. In a hypothetical where complete immortality is a possibility, I have no problem assuming that there will be other sapient species out there, and that humanity will develop ways to travel to other systems (even if it necessarily takes years), so I'd get a chance to meet them, and there'd probably be humans spread out across the galaxy.

But spending eternity in dark silence, unable even to stave off hunger? That's not a price worth paying for the perks of getting to see the stuff that came before.
