I just left my daughter at an inpatient clinic because she said she 'wished she were dead', and she was crying because she hadn't had a chance to talk to her dad and she was scared about being alone all night and my daughter was crying and i couldn't *fix it*.

She needs to be there and talk, she might be home in a day or two or four. But she was fucking crying and it sucks.

Wow, that is really rough. Of course you did the right thing but I understand why it may not help to know that. I hope she is home soon and feeling better.

Thanks. I know she needs this but...yeah. It fucking sucks to walk away from your daughter, who's crying and upset and doesn't want to be all alone with strangers.

This is... Going to sound harsh, but 1. is this the first time she's expressed this, and 2. what were the circumstances?
