People constantly seem to think that humans are way grosser than we are. I never tell people that I haven't shampooed my hair in years because whenever the conversation swings towards bathing less than every other day, they get grossed out. But after my hair got used to it, it acts the same as anyone else's.

I don't know man. Shailene Woodley has said she almost never shampoos her hair anymore, and wow can I tell. I mean, she has a glorious head of hair, but for the most part now it just doesn't look very good. It looks dirty. Not filthy, but definitely not at its best.

I never tell that I only bath three times a week either. The other days I simply wash the most "smelly" parts + my face with a wet cloth. You can literally tell no difference. I don't stink.
I also try to wash my hair less (in general every second day) and no one has run away screaming yet (and I work a lot with customers. If I was stinky, my bosses would tell me - believe me).

I generally shower every second day as well, unless I have a reason to shower daily. But if I'm going to gut 'up in my man's face' I make sure I'm super clean. :D

I also am not a sweaty person. even in extreme heat, I barely sweat, which sounds amazing, but is really counter intuitive to staying cool.

But OP is talking post-apocalypse. I don't think we'd all have a toiletry bag with baby wipes, deodorant, dental floss etc to use daily.

Hell, I'm grossed out when people in the Walking Dead get jiggy. And most of them live in a town now, but they're always so DAMN SWEATY! :D
