Yeah, this is a shitty thing to do, regardless of age. But what does it have to do with the comment above it?

Are you implying that people who would consider reporting pedophilic fanart to authorities are the same people who "suicide-bait strangers for their ships"?

Because I doubt it. People whose strategy is to harass are more likely to doxx than go to the authorities, because they want to remain involved and do the tormenting themselves.

I seriously considered reporting a piece of fanart once. I was very explicit and involved an adult character having penetrative sex with an elementary school child. I have never in my life harassed someone on the internet. I stick to my lane. When I saw the fanart that made me consider reporting it/them, I didn't think, "I'm going to tear this person a new one," I thought, "This person may well actually be a pedophile, is there something I should do?"

Antis often claim, at the very least, that they have or that they will report people to the police/CIA/some other authority for "child porn"; I have no way of knowing how often they actually do. So yes, those things are related.
While I'm sure at least some antis are aware they are vicious monsters, quite a lot of them are just very, very deeply into a culture of performative outrage and virtue signalling, and seem to quite honestly believe that if they call the cops on someone for their NaruSasu fic, the cops will go and arrest that person. Because the Antis are right, and all authority figures will agree with them and support them.
