I'm so tired of (romantic) relationship dynamics in fiction. I get that healthy, happy relationships are considered "boring" and therefore pretty much never happen (or, if they do, they don't last for long; they have to break up or have an annoying on again/off again thing going on) in TV shows/movies, but damn, I'm tired of it. I can only think of a few examples of happy, loving couples where there was mutual respect and no drama (or if there was, it wasn't about the relationship), and in every one, either the show was canceled or one of the characters was killed or they broke up or SOMETHING that kept them from having a happy ending.

I know fiction is not reality and all that, so this is stupid, but for some reason it makes me feel less hopeful about finding a happy relationship myself someday. :(

I think as long as you don't follow the model of anything resembling Romeo & Juliet, or where one or both of the people are emotionally immature, or where either insists on keeping one or more psychotic or pathological individuals in their lives, you'll probably be okay.
