116) Lolwut? You're saying that Kira "Jesus" Yamato has more flaws than Yagami Light? Really? REALLY? (You even chose a pic of him in his GSD outfit, where he was just a cardboard cutout Gary Stu.)

It was poor wording on my part. I associate flaws with being human, so while Light's "I AM GOD" is fascinating, I prefer Kira's humanness.

...and if you don't mind me asking, where does all the "Jesus!Kira" come from?

Ah, I see. I'd still maybe disagree with your claim, though, as I think Light's "I AM GOD" to be an extension of his highly flawed character. But I see where you're coming from, so no biggie. =D

"Jesus" refers to his invincible plot armor and his inability to die. The final fight against the Aegis? I knew he was gonna live, but it was a bit unbelievable, really. And the end of SEED? Kira was supposed to die originally in the script, but instead, he's just floating out in space. Um, okay. It's even worse in GSD, really.

Ugh, GSD. I knew it was going to be terrible, but I watched it for completeness' sake, anyways. If you like Kira and Cagalli as halfway intelligent characters, prepare to be disappointed. If you like Athrun to be a halfway reasonable character, prepare to be disappointed. If you like Kira/Lacus to be not an overbearing ship, prepare to be disappointed. [spoilers-->] If you like Yzak and Dearka, prepare to be disappointed. If you don't like retcon, prepare to be disappointed. If you like characters to have personality and growth, prepare to be disappointed. If you like stories with a coherent protagonist from beginning to end, prepare to be disappointed. I have two bits that I halfway enjoy from GSD.

But then again, I'm a cynical bitch, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Lots of people liked GSD. *shrug*

It's not that Light isn't flawed, it's that he thinks he's perfect.

I went into the series knowing that Kira was a Coordinator, so I knew he wasn't going to die, and upon learning that he was a Super Special Coordinator, I knew that he was going to live no matter what, so this inability to die never bothered me.

...and tell me you're lying about that paragraph. Please. D: And that spoiler is in white so I'm pretending that it doesn't exist because they can't do that.

I am sad to say that I'm not joking. Old characters regress in characterization, and new characters are abandoned because they rewrote the story halfway through, and the story and pacing suffer quite a bit as a result. We go through three different protagonists. Really now. >_>

There are a few awesome moments in it, but most of the time, you just want to slap the protagonist (whoever fills that role at that given point in time) across the face a bit.

Also, the end of GSD makes me fangirl and rage so hard. [spoilers-->] Here's to hoping that the SEED movie will make some sense of this mess. *crosses fingers*
