I fail to see how hating on a specific game = general JRPG hating.

Not the op, but... KH (not really CoM, but especially KH2) is button-mashy. Really button-mashy. :/

At least with KHI the worlds kinda made up for it since they were a lot more explorable than in KHII. KHII didn't have the platforming and was pretty much a linear succession of areas you had to go through. /personal nitpick

I wonder if the reaction commands were their way of trying to relieve the 'press x until dead' button mashing fighting style.

The levels! The platforming! *sniff* I miss Wonderland. And Monstro. I respect any game that can get me lost, and I got CRAZY lost in KH1, repeatedly.

Probably. It kind of worked. I dunno, reaction commands stopped exciting me about halfway through God of War. The sooner games stop doing it, the sooner I'll be happy.

Jumping off the treehouse in Deep Jungle and landing in the middle of the camp! Mysteriously without dying!

XD Oh, Monstro. 'Where am I supposed to go again?' 'Room 6' 'This door over here?' 'NO! That's room 4 and you're going to--' *enemies spawn and knock you off the ledge into Room 2* 'Well, crap.'

It just made it so much fun to explore and stuff. And find treasure chests you never knew were in that obscure corner of the top of the trees in Wonderland.

I didn't mind the reaction commands as long as they were on the side, like the 'Reverse' option while fighting dusks. But the 'press triangle not to die' button with Sephiroth? Or when fighting the Twilight Thorn way in the beginning? Not so fond of.

Sora is immortal, didn't you know that?

Monstro was so horrible that it was good. I spent so much time trying to jump from one impossible ledge to another and then falling to the bottom again just because I wanted that one chest that I couldn't quite reach.

I know! Exploring was half the fun. You actually got a sense of accomplishment from finding treasure.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I never beat Sephiroth because of that. >_>;; I dunno, if you're going to have an action game I'd rather go with button combos.

Except when going up against (Ansem)Riku, yeesh.

It was always that one chest! The one you could just baaaarely see off to one side that was all but impossible to get unless you jumped in this precise spot...End of the World was like that too once or twice.

And if I recall correctly, there was a chest in Halloween Town that was the exact same way, in plain sight, but hell if you could get to it without falling into the moat or off the bridge on the way to Oogie Boogie's. Until you got high jump or glide, that is. But that's cheating.

XD; I haven't beaten him either. I keep going over to him for the 'ooh pretty' factor, and then die because I miss that half second flash of triangle warning before he turns me into sashimi.
