Pregnant monsters would certainly be a change of pace, but I don't get what it has to do with cowardice??

I mean, I gotta say this is the first time I've heard "your kink is not my kink cuz y'all are pussy bitches"

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
It's an attitude that I respect a lot.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"YKINMK because you all are pussy bitches" literally made me lol in a restaurant.

"Stop being cowards and let the monsters get pregnant." lol irl

But seriously, unless the hybrid-child is going to mutate the parent and turn it into an abomination, what on earth is the point of that?

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Not OP obviously and this isn't my kink, but that's what I thought was the point of the kink for everyone else. A human being impregnated with something monstrous.

A human impregnating something monstrous is a whole other thing.

I got the impression that the foetus was being treated as a normal...idk thing and nothing adverse was happening to the human.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that's correct? I meant something monstrous as in alien or not human, not like a harmful thing.

Either way, being impregnated and impregnating others, monsters or no, is as different kinks as domination or submission anyway, even if they're opposite sides of the same coin. It's weird to assume that everyone who is into one is into the other and just too scared to admit it.

SA

That is, I was agreeing with you and disagreeing with OP. I think I wasn't clear enough. Sorry.

Ah, okay.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't even know this was a thing, let alone such a specific thing.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, because the reason people write mpreg is because they want it to make sense biologically, not because it's a major kink to have a human male character endure pregnancy. What would be the point of mpreg if it was a monster getting pregnant?

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm really confused what being afraid has to do with it...

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Like everyone else, I'm not sure what cowardice has to do with it.

Is it because the monster tends to be the top/dom and making the monster pregnant would challenge that? That's the only thing I could think of, but even so, I don't think I agree cowardice has anything to do with it.

I think having the human get pregnant is so common because if someone has a pregnancy kink, it plays directly into that. I think a lot of people with pregnancy kink find it more potent if a character doesn't know they can get pregnant, maybe isn't aware they're pregnant for quite a while, and their body is going through these changes that don't make sense to them. You get all of that if a human male gets knocked up by a monster. But you don't get most of that if the monster gets knocked up, because presumably the monster knows they are able to get knocked up, knows what being pregnant will entail for them, and may even know before they have sex with the human that it will result in pregnency.

But you know, now that I think about it, I would totally read a fic where one of my OTP is an alien and the other is a human, and the alien accidentally gets pregnant without either of them knowing that's a thing that can happen when human males and aliens fuck.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-27 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I assumed they were being at least partially facetious, but perhaps OP considers it cowardly because the human being pregnant plays into known/existing tropes, so it's less of a risk/challenge than writing the alien getting pregnant?

From The Submitter

That's actually exactly what I mean. It's boring to see the human-pregnant-by-monster setup so often, because that kind of echos various overplayed dynamics in mpreg fic, such as big buff guy getting a shorter, sensitive partner pregnant.

Also, I made this submission late at night when I was half awake and making weird decisions.

I see.

They are writing Mpreg and Creature!Character/Human Character, but somehow because of the way they write it (not how you want it) they are afraid. Gotcha.

Got to give it to you, though, that is a new way to have the "You should be writing it the way I want it!" tantrum.

But what about the ~magic sperm~ that changes their human partner's biology for ~reasons~?

Lol, I avoid all pregnancy fic but I gotta agree from reading summaries, it's oddly one-sided. I get what everyone else here is saying as to why. I do think it's funny, though.

...why didn't *I* think of that, holy shit. THERE'S GOTTA BE FIC SOMEWHERE.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-28 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, mpreg is my absolute #1 most hated kink and you somehow made it even worse. No shame in liking it, I just wasn't prepared for this secret.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-28 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
... Huh, I should probably gives some of my drawerfic a decent writeup then at some point, because I tend to prefer 'whoops human knocks up nonhuman because they didn't realize it would be a problem' in my mpreg. It just makes more sense in my head.

(Anonymous) 2017-08-28 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
I don't understand why it makes more sense for the alien to get pregnant. Why should alien biology make that easier than human biology would? You can invent an alen where that is the case, but that's just how you are writing the story, not something that's an automatic rule of the universe.
