Lady Di. Had a sleepover at a friend's house, came down in the morning to her mother having read about it on the teletext.

I was doing my homework in the living room with my parents when the news broke. I was really little and didn't really know her, but my parents said she was a very nice princess and I felt sad that the nice princess had died.

I was on vacation with my family at a hot springs. It wasn't a commercial place though, it was just this non-official thing that had been set up around a source, so there weren't any phones or tvs or anything, so we hadn't heard the news right away.

But some new folks arrived, and they told everyone. I remember people being quite shocked and sad. I was pretty young, though, so I didn't really get it. I think that's why I remember it so clearly, because I was confused that it meant so much to everyone.

I was at a friend's house with a bunch of friends and her mom came in an told us about the car crash, which she's seen on a news ticker on her internet browser. I didn't know the crash was fatal until the next morning when I came downstairs and my parents were watching the news and told me.
