Re: Things you've wondered but can't ask without sounding like a jerk or an idiot

Ok, when a MtF transsexual has the operation, they make the new labia from the shaft of the penis, yes? Now I'm iffy on the internal biology of the cock, but as I understand it, increased blood flow through the tissue of the penis is what makes it erect. As I understand it all that stuff is still there, it has just been re-shaped, yes?

So what exactly is done to prevent your pussy from getting hard?

Pretty simple. There's originally stuff in there that fills with blood and gets the penis hard. They remove that part and keep the rest of the skin and nerves so it still feels good, and then the glans of the penis is formed into a clitoris. The vagina and labia are made from the penis skin but they don't just leave everything in there.

Can a post-op FtM transexual get erect?

Pre-op FtM clitorises enlarge and can get semi erect if I recall correctly. I'm not sure if post-op FtMs can get fully erect naturally, but they can at least get erect with a pump and there are also penile implants that do that.

This doesn't only apply to FtM guys, it also is for cis guys who need penile reconstruction surgery due to accidents or being wounded in combat and all that.

I think the answer is "sort of," and I remember reading that for cis guys who need penis reconstruction surgery, the biggest issue for one kind of surgery was (fiberglass? I don't remember the material) rods poking through the skin (argh argh I don't have dangly bits and I'm a cis woman and don't want them but argh holy shit) so penis-providing surgery has a long way to go. Trans women who have bottom surgery can apparently be indistinguishable from post-hysterectomy cis women, even to gynecologists, which I always thought was neat.

Dude... you know that cis women get "hard" too, right?
