There's a difference between "writers should be open to listening to concrit" and "writers who get concrit should immediately change their fic to accommodate it."

The first is usually what people mean when they say "writers should accept concrit." I don't know where these people got the second into their heads, and it sucks that they did, because that's some creepy power-tripping. Sorry you had to go through that, OP.

Just another one of those cases where "concrit" means "rewrite your story to what I say it should be." >:(

mte. It's SO RARE for me to go back and edit something that I posted as "complete", and usually I won't go back unless it's like a typo or an egregious mistake (I once wrote "torpedo" when I meant "missile", for example).
It's fine to accept the crit but not want to revisit the story! (it's also fine not to accept crit. Being open to criticism doesn't mean you'll automatically AGREE with all criticism, also - it means that you'll listen with an open mind and consider it).

These people are crazy.
