I'm only casually into the fandom and I had no idea Levi was that old. I guess anime characters often don't look their age.

(I don't really ship in Attack on Titan but only because people are being constantly eaten so I try not to get attached to anyone.)

We don't actually know his age 100%, but he's said in external materials to be older. But yeah, Levi looks hella young.
Incidentally, both Levi and Eren are still around as of the recent chapters, so you can ship them if you feel like it XD

Well, that's fine. If you want to ship, go for it.

I'm just saying that your defense here doesn't really apply here. And no, it's not a matter of being "more" realistic. It's realistic. I've know a shitload of teenage boys who were like this.

Again, you're not doing anything wrong here. It's just the standard defense doesn't really apply here is all I'm saying.

I can buy that aspect. I do think, like anon below said, the fact that this is a universe where 13 year olds can join the military says something about the health levels of this society.

But yeah, I don't ship it because it's "okay" or "not okay", I just like the dynamic. I'm actually less comfortable shipping modern-day AUs that preserve the age gap, because to me that does raise some weirdness that I can't wholly get behind.
