My mum's partner's mum is 100 and she is in better shape than us (broke a hip a month ago but recovered now). I do not think anyone is 'old' until they reach 'potential dying age' but ... it is still relative. For us, said dying age is 75 tops (or at least is such for other relatives) while step-dad's family's upoer threshold is over 90. Then again, I would say anyone below 50 is young and above it would be middle-aged but it is just how I view people and their timelines.
