Yeah... none of this indicates he's poly. It just indicates he cheated. Most people are capable of being sexually attracted to multiple people at a time, including while in a relationship what's supposed to be exclusive, and that isn't what being poly is.

In any case, being honest with her about it wouldn't have obligated her to like it.

You're being needlessly obtuse. He wanted to sleep around and have emotional relationships with other people, I'm saying he should have been honest with his wife about it to start with. It didn't need to be a secret thing, and maybe they could have worked something out (or maybe not, i don't care).
