Re: AUs

I like AUs a lot, but a lot of my favorite AUs, I like more because they're good *stories* than because of the specifically AU elements. Like, for instance, I think my favorite AU is a genderswapped Les Mis f/f fic that's set in contemporary Montreal and is all about the aftermath of the student riots there. But the AU element doesn't exactly provide a huge new window on the original fiction. It's just a really good, really affecting romance story.

I still want to see more though, especially rare AUs.
