No, and I've never understood women who say they won't date a guy shorter than they are. There aren't many guys shorter than I am but I wouldn't let it stop me. But I once heard a woman say "It's like dating your little brother." No, no it isn't.

(I haven't dated in years and I'm mostly looking for women, but that's a whole other digression.)

It's not like we choose to not be attracted to short guys. Some of us just aren't. It's not a value judgement. It's not like I'm sitting back thinking, "Short guys just aren't man enough," or whatever. I have a short male friend who's the most typically "manly" guy I know. Meanwhile, I like very tall, slender, pretty dudes - emphasis on very tall. That's just what I find physically attractive.

I'll take your word for it that you're not making a value judgment but I have absolutely heard value judgments

I'm sure you have. Come to think of it, the majority of people who actually go around stating that they would "never date a shorter man" probably are making a value judgement. They're summarily dismissing shorter men as beneath romantic consideration, and that's shitty. But I've never said (or felt) that I would "never date a shorter man." I just know that I haven't ever been attracted to a shorter man so far in my life.

See, I just noticed that in a lot of cases (not saying you do it but I've seen it over and over again), the exact same women who go out of their way to tell everyone that they would never ever date a shorter man are the ones first to play offended when a guy says "I'm just not attracted to fat chicks" and cry bodyshaming.

I agree with you. People like that are hypocritical and petty.

Personally, I don't go around saying "I would never date a shorter man. I don't think I've ever said that. I just know that I haven't ever found myself attracted to a shorter man so far in my life.

And I am definitely not one of those women you mention, who has physical preferences of my own but can't handle other people having them. I have small tits. I have narrow hips. I don't have much of a waist. I am aware that none of those things are considered ideally attractive to the average man (if we want to generalize about such a thing as "the average man"). That's fine. They can be attracted to me or not, for whatever reason they please. The only way that's going to bother me is if they start throwing their lack of attraction in my face in rude ways, like going, "Wow I find you so unattractive," or going, "You know you'd be so much more attractive if you had more of an hourglass figure." But to men's credit, not a one has ever done that. So there's no problem.

You're not familiar with the concept of people having different tastes in what they find physically attractive? I doubt that, so I'm not sure where your trouble understanding comes in. You probably have traits you wouldn't like in a partner. Other people have them too, but maybe their standards aren't the same as yours. It's not rocket science.
