I have a rule of only really using recipes that are on Australian sites, because all the work of converting from Imperial to Metric is a pain.

However I did once use a recipe someone came up with for Lembas (LotR waybread) that was basically a honey-flavoured shortbread, only I used non-gluten flour in it. It worked out fine, if a tad too sweet for my liking.

My other big cooking adventure was into pumpkin pie, and I did refer to an Aussie website for it. It turned out great the first time, less so the second but that wasn't the recipe's fault, more the fault of me deciding to not put it in a pie shell. I probably did change one thing in it - I baked the pumpkin that I used both times. Better flavour in baking it.
