Before the Fall (Or Napola - Elite für den Führer) - German movie about a young boxer in a Hitler Youth school. It's about as upbeat as it sounds.

Waltz With Bashir - an animated documentary about a guy with some memory issues trying to figure out what his role was during the Lebanon War. Also about as upbeat as it sounds.

Alcohol and stuffed animals are recommended for both movies.

Also, too much anime to list.

I honestly haven't watched many, but Let The Right One In is really good. It's so memorable as a story that I forget it even has subtitles.

Been enjoying Korean action movies on Netflix; Train to Busan, Man From Nowhere, Commitment, Old Boy. They make some interesting stuff.

I haven't watched that much in forign languages, but I did watch the Three Colours trilogy when it was on TV once.

I did get to a point after I got Advent Children that I couldn't stand to listen to the English dub because I'd spent so long listening to the Japanese.

Not a movie, but I never listen to Puella Magi Madoka Magica in English, I always listen to the Japanese.
