Hair and stereotypes

(Anonymous) 2017-09-29 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
I've been seeing a few lately:

Female short hair that's shorter than a bob and longer than a pixie cut = "can I talk to the manager" hair

Hair dyed unnatural colors = social justice interests, LGBT, invented genders

Blunt bangs = TERF(trans-exclusionary radical feminism)

Any others?

Long hair on a white guy = hippy or biker depending on clothes.

I had never heard of "can I talk to the manager" hair until the other day. Is this supposed to imply a cranky soccer mom?

I couldn't picture it either without the example, but now I understand completely.

Please don't bully my mom. She's a good person.

She's a good person, she just makes bad hair choices.

Gosh, well my hair is too curly to ever look like that. Retail workers need not fear me!

Short, brightly colored hair = SJW/feminazi.

I used to have short, bright pink hair.

But then, I think that black people are human, so that makes me an sjw in some circles.

Shame they don't think the same about you.

I have seen just about every hairstyle imaginable called 'lesbian hair'. Long, short, dyed, natural, curly, straight, if a character has hair it's lesbian hair.

"Can I Talk To the Manager" hair can also, according to SNL, be referred to as "The Mom Cut" or simply, "The Cut."

The Cut. The Cut! THE CUT!
