You do have to close one eye, briefly, to aim through a sight though. That's just how sights work. After you get a sight picture you open the other one to maintain situational awareness.

Or do you seriously line up your sights with both eyes? If so, how? I was taught by professionals and they all close one eye to get the sight picture.
