Sued? Over a fanart (already legally dodgy) that looks an awful lot like a direct copy of a photograph (more legally dodgy)? A fanart that's shown up here at least half a dozen times, and this is the first time you're saying anything? (Or-- oops, was it actually the original photo that time?)

I just started watching a couple weeks ago. It is a HAND DRAWN fanart, completely LEGAL, and it is COPYRIGHTED under the artist in question.

... Not to say that she shouldn't have given credit (she should have), but I don't see where that vicious tone is warranted, and I don't see how she could really get sued for this.

It's a completely non-profit usage, posted anonymously, in a place where the default assumption is that the art used doesn't belong to the secret poster.

I just don't see a whole lot of lawsuit material there.

I can see getting really annoyed if someone claimed the fanart was their doing. That's fair enough. Or if someone else made a profit from it. But no one here is claiming the photos or art used for secrets are their own.

Oh yeah, for sure I could understand getting annoyed. Especially with the amount of work the art obviously involved.

Hell, it'd be pretty stupid to claim photos/art here as one's own, usually, wouldn't it? Who would you even fool?
