'scuse me, but did you even read it? If you hate it so much, I find it hard to believe that you also read all the way through, so I resent that you accuse IY of being plotless simply on the grounds that the villain never changed. I stuck with IY since the beginning, and yeah there were times that the plot suffered and it was obvious that she was dragging it out intentionally, but for the most part I enjoyed the plot she'd laid out.

Honestly, I don't like DBZ's formula of recycling the same cycle of good vs. evil with a brand new face each time. I don't like Bleach's introduction of over 100 speaking characters, but I -did- like Inuyasha's consistent 5-man band seeing focus and development while other characters came and went. So I watched IY and I ditched Bleach at the Soul Society arc. And after that... well, I don't care anymore. I don't like Bleach, but I won't throw any parties whenever it ends. Seems like a waste of energy.

I'll miss Inuyasha, but I'm glad it's ending. I've wanted an ending for those characters for the longest time.

Good for you. I'm not saying that Inu Yasha is worse than Bleach or any other shounen out there. I'm just pointing out ways in which I found it to be boring. And even you admit it dragged on for too long. Inu Yasha's been running since 1996. That's more than a decade. Has Bleach been running that long? No. Has Bleach reached 557 chapters yet? No.

Twelve years of dragging plot is pretty long if you ask me. As for Dragon Ball, I'm not saying that series is particularly good, either. Just pointing out how it had a way to toss in a few new things every once in awhile, even if it really just all the same in the end.

My main gripe with IY is that Naraku never died. I also didn't get how that stupid jewel was so freaking powerful when they'd had it the whole time at the beginning. The devices used to extend the plot were stupid, IMO.

There's nothing wrong with liking Inu Yasha. You're perfectly free to. I'm just stating how I think it sucks. And believe me, you aren't going to change my mind. I've got better things to read than trudge through all 500+ chapters of that.

Believe -me-, changing minds of people like you about what manga is good is the furthest thing from my mind. I'm just defending my old favorite.

My biggest point is that if you think it's so bad, I don't see why you care enough to make giant blinky text and write paragraph after paragraph about why it's bad... especially if you have better things to do than trudge through all 500+ chapters of that, srsly. You sound a lil' more like the one who wants to change minds, though I know you don't.

Also noting that I don't appreciate blanket statements from someone who hasn't seen enough to even know how big of a blanket they'll need. But really, that's enough. I've also got better things to do than read it, but I'm gonna go do it anyway. See ya.
