Wahey, fandom secrets! How's life with everybody? I'm hoping everybody who's needed to vent and rant in the last few days is feeling better - special shout-out to driving test anon: how're things going? - how about we all drop things that're getting better slowly?

Aaand I'll go first: had to have an uncomfortable conversation with my roommates - but since then, they've been much better about cleaning things and letting me know when they're inviting people, and the mood is actually way better. So yay!

I think I am getting slightly less anxious about driving. I'll know tomorrow when I drive 2+ hours to my sister's house.

Today has been such a chill day. I've eaten a bunch of pumpkin related foods and caught up on all my favorite horror tv shows. I kind of don't want today to end.

Honestly things couldn't be shittier. My mother in law is sick and needs expensive kidney dialysis that we have no idea how we're going to afford. I'm applying for jobs. Wish us luck, please, we need it. ;_;

Fortunately she is a veteran and has insurance that will pay for most of her treatment, however, she’s broke and someone else will have to pick up the slack, which includes transportation to the facility and paying for the rest of her treatments. We’re going to ask the fam for money but only 2 people can really afford to help us. I just don’t know what to do. This ain’t cheap and she’ll need it for years. :(

Not that we're aware of, hospice care has been suggested but idk if we can get that. Thank you so much for the good wishes, it means a lot to me. :)

I have apparently been a hoarder and never really realized. I always low-key hoarded food, which I blame my parents and their Depression Era/WWII rations upbringing for, but the last few months I've donated six (!!!) big garbage bags of clothes and shoes and three (!!) of linens that don't fit my current mattress and old towels.

Let's not get into how much random shit I've actually thrown away.

And the joke of it is there's still stuff flippin' everywhere!

It hasn't come out yet, but I am pretty unimpressed with Kenneth Brannagh's casting as Poirot in the upcoming big screen Murder on the Orient Express. Like, I'm sure he'll do a decent job because he can act, but that doesn't change the fact he looks nothing like the character should.

I assume the producers realised that they couldn't get any better than David Suchet, so going for a completely different look would be more successful. But it still annoys me.

I don't want to jynx it but I have tinnitus and it seems to be going away for long periods lately. I'm generally able to ignore it but it's nice to get a break from hearing white noise sometimes.

I am employed again. It's just a temp position, but it's enough to knock a good chunk off my student loans.

I had a bit of a tiff with the boyfriend before I went out today and we left it on a bad note. Came home to find a handmade pizza that he made for me at work while I was gone. It tastes delish and we've made up. He's a sweetie.
