Onions. Hated them as a kid. At some point something switched and now they are one of my favorite foods.

I had this with olives. Didn't help that I grew up with my mum telling me the pimento ones were actually stuffed with bird's tongues. Can't stop eating them now.

Yup. I've been known to just eat onion for a snack. And most foods are better with onion.

I'm still not big on onions, but I don't mind sauteed ones now.

Sauteed are the best. I love fajitas with sauteed onions and pepper.

Sparks, my dad's favourite band. He was supposed to go to one of their gigs with his sister in 2006, but she dropped out at the last second, so he asked me to go with him instead. He'd been playing the most recent album non-stop around the house and I just found them super irritating.

Went to the gig purely because I didn't like the idea of him being sat there on his own, had a blast, bought a t-shirt on the way out and am now a massive fan.

I like Sparks a lot. I will not claim to be a massive fan, and I haven't really kept up with their more current work, but I really like them. I actually saw them live twice.

Ah, nice to know I'm not alone. :) I can still see that they're kind of an acquired taste for most people, the reactions from friends I've played them to are usually either "wow this is weird and great" or "what the fuck is this turn it off." Have you heard anything from their collaboration with Franz Ferdinand (FFS)?

I was just listening to "Eaten by the Monster of Love" a few days ago.

No, I haven't heard that - I will have to look that up.

Definitely do. The album as a whole is a bit hit-and-miss but apparently they're both massive fans of eachother and it really shows (they played Glastonbury together and they just looked like they were having the time of their lives.) This video is one of my faves and so cleverly done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCxLpte5loY

That was awesome. "I'm borderline attractive from afar..." Thanks for that!

Bohemian Rhapsody. When I was a kid I thought it was the stupidest song I'd ever heard.

Hot sauces and spicy food, mushrooms, my own curly hair, the color combination of orange and turquoise.

Cooking. Used to be heating up a can of chicken soup was a chore, but now I'll happily spend a day making my own stock from bones and feet.

Taylor Townsend from The O.C

She was Marissa Cooper's replacement after her death in the season 3 finale, so fans naturally hated her. Especially since she was introduced as a conniving son of a bitch a few episodes into season 3.

I think I hated her because I was a dumb teenager who hated to see such a change in a show I was invested in. I also allowed the show to let me find her annoying.

But watching it 10 years later, I find season 4, the last season, to be the best. It was fun the way the show was in its first season. Taylor Townsend is just... I love her sfm. I love her so much that I will go back to watch that awful show just for her.

She's odd as shit, she grows way too attached to people who are nice to her because her mother never was, she's socially out-of-touch, she's wildly sexual in such a sincere way, she's a total dork, she's powerfully driven, she's insightful, and she was totally good for everyone

I just love her sfm ty for listening

Most vegetables. It turns out 'boiling into slimy mush' or 'smother under a gallon of cream-of-something' is not my favorite. Steaming, roasting, and frying are all superior.
