Project Runway

How the heck did Michael and Marguerite make me start to actually like Claire? I just watched the most recent episode, and I spent most of the time wanting to punch them. She's not cheating, she's not copying you, shut up. Please.

They definitely are playing it up for the drama but idk, if she actually went and copied the measurement of the pants she was wearing, I'd say this might count as cheating, but at the very least it's a sign that she lacks some skills she should have to be on that show.

I don't think she did, though. I didn't see any evidence of that. All they said was that the pants looked like pants she had. Uh, plenty of contestants in the past have made clothes similar to something they own. And I'm also pretty sure I remember some menswear challenges where men measured their own pants before making the ones for the challenge.

I don't like her. But the two of them just really bothered me in this episode. And they were talking behind her back and not actually saying anything. If they'd been up front in the beginning, this discussion could have been had already without festering feelings and without being nasty to Claire.

Yeah, I really sympathized with her in that episode. Though tbh, I feel like this season has much more "manufactured" drama than I recall in other seasons...
I get that Marguerite was annoyed because at first the top did look a bit like her dress, but it ended up being really different, so I don't think she had much of a leg to stand on.

It was extremely unprofessional and poor Claire looked so clueless. Amy Bonds was on Afterbuzz and talked a bit about it. (It's further in the critique portion of the runway.) The gist being because every one was talking about it in confessions and in the workroom, production knew, the contestants knew that production knew, but production wasn't going to step in until someone used their words like ADULTS and said something.

And next week it gets worse. I'm of the opinion footage or it didn't happen.

Thank Goodness for the classiness of Tim Gunn in Claire's critique! Just Margrita got so focused on being validated that Claire was copying her that I don't think anything would have satisfied her. Then her hypocritical behavior from Model off Duty where she lied and threw her own model under the bus and then going "Oh, I wasn't raised that way" this week! The girl had immunity this week! I swear, it was the cash prize. Money changes people.

Agreed. I mean, maybe she was "cheating" or whatever, idek what the issue is, but why the fuck didn't they go up to her face at any point instead of just bitching behind her back the entire time and waiting until she won to walk off? Even if Claire is shown to be in the wrong, I still think less of them for how it was handled.
