AO3:
I wish that writers didn't check Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings or any of the other archive warnings if they check No Archive Warnings Apply. It doesn't make sense.

Also, when the [Insert Fandom Name Here] RPF is tagged when there is no Real Person Fic. I have a feeling some writers don't know what RPF actually is.

I didn't think you were supposed to be able to check Chose Not To Warn/any archive warnings if you also checked No Archive Warnings Apply. That sounds like a weird bug.

ayrt

You would think that's how it would be. But there are over 87,000 with both No Archive Warnings Apply and Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings. I don't know why people would choose to do that. And they do have to choose - when you post, there's a block at the top of the Tags form (which is at the top of the overall form), just under Rating and you have to tick at least one of the Archive Warnings, but you can tick all of them.

I've seen [Actor's Name] - General Fandom (or however the tag goes) for fics that have nothing to do with the actor, but only the character played by the actor, and it's for one of the actor's most popular recent roles. I mean, I think anyone who is a fan of the actor probably is aware that he played this character and if they want to read fic about the character, they will just search for that. You don't need to tag the actor when it's *not* RPF. I never see this for more obscure stuff, where at least then you could dismiss it as an author trying to make people aware a certain actor was in that.
