I like That's All by Genesis. I don't think it's smarmy. I also don't think the Tarzan soundtrack is smarmy in the context of the film.

Is it smarmy to say that every generation gives its best shot at changing everything, and previous generations snark and complain about what they've changed, and at the end of the day there will still be assholes regardless?
