Anyone else watch it? I am amused that it seemed tailor made to piss off fandom. I enjoyed it.

I didn't like the filler episode much, because I rarely like filler episodes much, but the jokes were amusing on some level at least. But overall I liked it, probably should have been aired as a whole rather than in two parts but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I especially loved the shot of the Galra cruiser falling from the sky and Voltron landing after, that was cool as shit.

How is it made to piss them off? I've not watched since S2, give me the deets please.

Biggest one, absolutely no Keith and Lance interactions and a reminder that Lance has a crush on Allura.
Lots of "Pidge is a girl and uses female pronouns"
There was a big fan theory for the reason they split Season 3 and 4 because otherwise it wouldn't be a big surprise... and nope, no hint of fan theory. (not jossed, but not confirmed.)
Lotor did some dickish badguy stuff because surprise surprise, he's a villain.

Those are the biggest things I've seen people getting angry about.

I love that "The Voltron Show" was an obvious dig at how fandom reduces characters to stereotypes... and a bunch of people in the fandom got mad at it for "reducing the characters to stereotypes."

I thought the whole season was great, I love Matt, and holy shit that cliffhanger.

I hope in the next season Lotor's alien babe squad team up with Voltron and they all kick his arse, because fuck that guy.

I know nothing about BP and I'm kind of lukewarm on the MCU these days but I will say this: Michael B Jordan looks real good.

I love the aesthetic, I love the music choices, I'm here for the new characters. Just, yes. I would like this now please.

I LOVE the Wakanda aesthetic but I'm a little worried that it will lose the distinctive feel with all the CGI action scenes - it would be super easy for them just to use the same kind of effects and tech aesthetic as the rest of the MCU. Personally, I'm a little tired of that.

That's fair, I'm just waiting to see what we get and I'll probably be able to roll with a lot of CGI anyway. I'm not really bothered by it, but that's just me.

I like the trailer but am not a fan of the music choice. The Run the Jewels song in the teaser was a lot better. I just hate the way the guy sounds. Very whiny and over produced.

Yeah I don't recognize the music but I found it a big distracting.

Mildly. I feel like MCU movies really only stand out on the basis of comedy (Guardians of the Galaxy) and art direction (Thor: Ragnarok), but are stupider than a box of rocks otherwise.

On the other hand, Okorafor just got tapped to write one of the comics (digital only).

Did you see the trailer for The New Mutants? I have such confused feelings about it. One one hand, it's cool that they seem to be going in a horror direction? But on the other hand, I mean, aren't they all just mutants...? I just didn't find it really scary. idk.
