To this day, still the only two songs I can (and 100000% have) listen too all day over and over and a) not get sick of them, and b) lose the emotion I associate with them. I have no idea what it is about these songs.

The Promise video is absolutely one of my favourites as well. Ciara is so damn sexy in it.

At the moment, Dusty Springfield's "I only wanna be with you". There was an homage gig in my town this morning and the singer was fairly belting this one out. I can just remember when it was first released.

My birthday's in a little over 48 hours and I've already gotten my parents' cards and a package and I'm dying to find out if it's the program I want ...or just money to buy the program (because those two things were on my list).

My brother's keeping the cards until it's officially my bday so I have to wait and I have an 8 day shift the day RIGHT before.

I went away for a week and just before I left I got news that the landlord of one of my favourite pubs had been admitted into hospital; bowel cancer that had been in remission for a few years. Found out from a friend today that he passed while I was out of town. He was a solid guy and tried his best to hook me up with jobs when I quit my last, and always made me laugh. Never had a bad word to say about anybody.

FS, do you have any advice on giving condolences? His wife ran the pub with him and she's now on her own, bless her heart, and I really want to do something to say how sorry I am but I don't know where to start. I don't know if flowers would be good, or maybe organizing a party in his honour, idk. I'm just bummed and terrible with dealing with stuff like this. Fuck cancer. He was a star and I miss him.
